Pâtisserie Viennoise

There is a little treasure in the Latin Quarter in Paris. Just down the street from the med-school on 8 rue de l’École de Médicine, 75006 Paris, is Pâtisserie Viennoise.

… the version of Arlequin Café

It is a charming little place I must have passed twice before I actually noticed it.

There is Sacher Torte and Apple Strudel on offer. Also Linzer Torte, Brioche and Hot Chocolate ..… with plenty of whipped cream. Pâtisserie Viennoise is KNOWN for its Apple Strudel.

Its Art Deco feel reminds of those little shops in the side streets of Vienna. Entering is like stepping back in time. It has been there since the early 1920s.

Curiously enough, it is closed on weekends.
