A night in Beirut ….

About a week ago we had an unexpected thunderstorm. It all started with a magnificent sunset

… the version of Arlequin Café

… and then it started to get dark ….

…. and darker still …. and windy ….

It was over rather quickly and gave us this view from our terrace ….

Beirut

…. of course the daily ritual involving a firework somewhere was not put on hold for the weather ….

Beirut

And when it was all over, everybody had his/her good night sleep, we woke to a fresh Beirut.

Beirut

Not a cloud in sight. A fresh, cool breeze and nothing of the usual Beirut pollution to see …. yet ….
